Obituary of Bernard R. Gianuzzi

Please share a memory of Bernard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bernard R. Gianuzzi, 73, of Randolph, NJ, passed away on February 25, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Bernard resided in Flanders before moving to Randolph 30 years ago. Bernard graduated from Alexander Hamilton Vocational High School in 1961, and then went on to attend classes at New York City Community College. Bernard worked as a Staff Supervisor at AT&T in Basking Ridge for 25 years, before retiring in 1990. Bernard is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Kotkin Gianuzzi; and his devoted children, Gregory Gianuzzi, and his wife, Sharon, and Gene Gianuzzi, and his wife, Debbie. He is also survived by his beloved siblings, Marianne and Bob Polimine, and Susan and Steven Young; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Lee, Jay, Stephanie, Jenna, and Maria; and his dear nephews and niece, Robert, Peter, and Debbie. A Gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 11:00am-2:00pm, with a Memorial Service at 2:00pm, at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment will be private. Bernard fought his battle with esophageal cancer to the end. Even though he was always optimistic that he would possibly be cured, this was not to be his fate. He felt very encouraged about the prospects of new up-and-coming treatments, and he would be pleased to know that he could potentially help others. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memory of Bernard may be made to: American Cancer Society, or www.crowdwise.com/bernardgianuzzi, both for cancer research.
