Obituary of Arthur V. DeBiasse, Sr.

Arthur Vincent DeBiasse lived a life of service and generosity and passed peacefully, after a long illness, on March 6, 2017 at his home in Brick, New Jersey. He was 80. Art was born in Madison, NJ in 1936, the son of the late Tony and Angelina DeBiasse. He was one of seven children. After attending Madison schools, he joined his father in the family business, Park Avenue Garage. Later he opened Arts Automotive which served the Morris county community for many years. He was a lifelong volunteer with the Madison Fire Company and also spent many years coaching Little League Baseball. He retired several years ago with his wife, Anne to Greenbriar, in Brick. Predeceased by his brothers Anthony, Jr., and Salvatore, and sisters Rose, Teresa and Marion Art is survived by his brother Robert DeBiasse. He leaves his loving wife, Anne Margaret Sweet, and his devoted children, Arthur Jr., Mark, Kevin, Kelly, and Anna, and two grandchildren, Mark Jr. and Briella. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 4-7pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison. A Funeral Mass for Art will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Thomas More Church, 4 Convent Road, Morristown. Interment will follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memory of Art may be made to: Madison Ambulance Squad, 29 Prospect Street, Madison, NJ 07940.
