Jean F. Brown, 89, of Rockaway passed away on July 2, 2020.
Born in New York, Jean resided in Convent Station for many years before moving to Rockaway.
Jean lovingly took care of her family. She also worked in the family business, “The Browns”, in Morristown for many years.
Jean is survived by her devoted children, Ross Brown, of Hackettstown, NJ and Rita Oesterle, of Succasunna, NJ. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Brown, Susan Brown, Christopher Oesterle, and Jilian Oesterle; as well as her dear niece, Linda Padawer. Jean is predeceased by her loving husband, Arthur I. Brown (2002).
Jean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a sweet, quiet, and un-assuming woman who always supported her family. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and would never turn down a good word search, puzzle, or card game. Jean was also known for being stylish, always put-together with her make-up and jewelry. Jean’s favorite hobbies included knitting and sewing – she knitted beautiful sweaters and sewed exquisite clothing.
A private burial took place at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover.
