Mildred Deutsch Marowitz May 26, 1922 - July 7, 2020 Mildred (‘Mili’) Deutsch Marowitz, 98, of Monroe Township, NJ and Boca Raton, FL loved life, her family, extended family, and her many friends. Mili was always there for the people she cared about. She was witty and fun to be with and always strove to make others comfortable. She enjoyed talking to and listening to her friends and family; and playing Canasta and Scrabble. Mili, the daughter of Barney Burdman and Ida Fisher Burdman, grew up in Brooklyn and had 2 sisters: Shirley and Harriet; a brother, Jerome (‘Jerry’); two half-brothers, Stanley, and Carl; a step-sister, Loretta (‘Dinky’) and a step-brother, Leonard. Mili was married to Leon Deutsch from 1944 until his death. The couple resided in Plainfield, NJ and had three children: Abby Rosenstein [Steve], Marcia Cook [Fred], and Peter Deutsch [Maria]. Mili and Leon were the proprietors of a Kosher Butcher Shop in Plainfield, NJ between 1946 and 1980. Mili was married to Abe (‘Spike’) Marowitz from 1983 until his death in 2007. They resided in Deal, NJ, Monroe Township, NJ and Boca Raton, FL. Spike’s three sons, Jay [Vera], David [Susan], and Norman [Vivian] and their children and grandchildren became a beloved part of Mili’s family. Mili loved and was very proud of her sixteen grandchildren: David Rosenstein [Ivona], Dr. Alix Mitchell [Peter], Lauren Heather Cook, Crystal Deutsch, Gabriel Deutsch, Marcus Deutsch, Lena Deutsch, Michael Deutsch (deceased), Louisa Reckman, Mariposa Deutsch, Naomi Falange [Anthony], Zachary Marowitz [Shelby], Abel Marowitz, Lisa Marowitz, Rachel Marowitz, Matthew Marowitz And Mili also adored her eight Great Grandchildren: Zachary Rosenstein, Matthew Rosenstein, Benjamin Mitchell, Nelle Mitchell, Liza Mitchell, Cassidy Marowitz, Ethan Marowitz, Maddox Falange If you would like to make a memorial donation in Mili’s memory, consider a donation to Fulfill (the foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties), fulfillnj.org, 3300 Rt. 66, Neptune, NJ 07753; or the Interfaith Food Pantry, mcifp.org, 2 Executive Dr., Morris Plains, NJ 07950.
