Obituary of John Daveridge
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John Daveridge, 70, of Morristown, passed away September 25, after a brief illness. He was born in 1950 to parents Kathleen and John Daveridge in England. John is survived by sisters Annette Elbetti, Janet San Miguel, May Price, and Patricia Richards; brothers William Thomas and Leon Thomas; aunts and uncles Eamonn and Joan Clarke (and their children Neil Clarke, Michael Clarke, and Shana Fazio) and May and John Harte (and their children Niall Harte and Carole Elliott); many cousins; and his best friend Randy Miller.
At age one, he moved to Navan, Ireland (which was always his other home) and was raised by his grandmother Ann Clarke. In 1972, he immigrated to the US and worked for his uncle at Eamonn's Upholstery for forty-seven years. He retired in late 2019.
Among his joys were music, art, science fiction, the lottery, and a good cup of tea. He usually avoided being photographed himself, but kept a treasured collection of images that demonstrates what he held dearest in life: family and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Hanover Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association.
Arrangements were under the care of Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, Madison.
