Joseph A. Terp passed at Morristown Medical Center away on December 10, 2020.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, at age 9, Joseph moved to Bronx, NY, where he spent most of his married life.
He graduated from high school, and proudly served his country as a Corporeal in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952.
Joseph worked in the Maintenance Department for the College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, NY, for over 20 years. He then retired with his wife to Jackson, NJ.
Joseph is survived by his devoted children, Janet, and her husband, Anthony, of Massapequa, NY, Donna Lee and her husband, Gerald, of Randolph, NJ, Richard, and his wife, Cindy, of New Rochelle, NY, and JoAnn and her husband, Jack, of Denville, NJ. He is also survived by cherished grandchildren, Philip, Michael and Jennifer, Michael, Nicholas and Amanda, Anthony, Emily, Christopher, and Ryan; as well as his adored great-grandchildren, Rocco, Esther, Owen, and Robert; as well as his dear nieces and nephews, Mary Lou, Robert, Mark, Nancy, Ronald, Suzanne, and Eric. Joseph was predeceased by his beloved wife, Elsie (1998); and his siblings, Mary and her husband, Lou, and Anna, and her husband, Mario.
Visiting for Joseph will be on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 10-11am at Church of the Assumption, Wrightstown, NJ. A Funeral Mass for Joseph will follow at 11am at the Church. Joseph will be laid to rest with his wife, Elsie, at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Due to CDC restrictions, the interment will be a private ceremony with immediate family only.
