Please share a memory of Eileen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Eileen A. Murray, 68, passed away on August 1, 2021 at St. Clare’s Hospice, Dover, NJ. She was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Morristown, NJ, for the past 25 years. Eileen graduated from Upsala College in 1978 with a Bachelor’s Degree. She worked for NJ Manufacturers Insurance Group, Parsippany as a Workers Compensation Claims Representative for 40 years until her retirement in July 2018. Family and friends were of the upmost importance to Eileen. Family get togethers or dinner with friends were always welcome. Covid certainly made personal gatherings more difficult but when her brother started a bi-monthly virtual Trivia night during the pandemic she jumped at the chance to participate as a way to stay in touch. Since retiring 3 years ago Eileen treasured her nights out with the girls from the office. It was time spent laughing and reminiscing and maybe even a glass of wine. She became active in a local gym, enjoyed her long walks while listening to an audio book and also just having time to savor the day. Over the years she enjoyed her trips to Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard and more recently long weekends on the North Fork of Long Island. In 2018 she made the trip of her dreams to Italy and was about to go to Ireland last year but unfortunately Covid changed all of that. For those who knew Eileen remember a kind and gentle soul. She worried more about others than about herself and always wanted the best for everyone. Laughing was a big part of her day. She is survived by her devoted husband, Paul Murray, and her stepchildren, Sarah Murray, James Murray and Sean Murray and his wife, Kasandra Aristizabal, as well as her niece, Marleen Pritchard and her husband, Matthew, and her nephew, Richard McCormick and his wife, Caitlin, and their son, Thomas. She is also survived by her brother, William McCormick, Myrle Beach, SC. Arrangements are under the care of Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler, Madison.
