I am broken hearted to hear of Rich's passing last year. We worked together at Montclair State from 1997 till 2000. While he was head of the gifted and talented program I worked for the continuing education program and our offices were right across from each other. Which was a good friend and a mentor one needed. I was always so impressed with his great sense of humor and his athleticism and the joy he found in his trips to Germany with Doris. I am familiar with multiple myeloma and it hurts my heart to think that he must have suffered from that terrible malady. I am sending you my prayers and I am sending some up to Rich where I'm sure he is bicycling through magnificent hills and valleys and chatting in German with his family and friends. I could still remember the photographs and the pride in the children and I'm delighted that he got to have grandchildren. Doris he adored you and love talking about your excursions together. I am fortunate that my faith assures me that Rich is at peace. Until we are all together again in glory I send you all love and great good wishes. Ich bete, dass es Ihnen gut geht und Sie sich immer an die Freude erinnern, die Rich zum Leben erweckt hat.
