Obituary of Alfredo Rocca
Alfredo Rocca, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 23, 2018, in Morristown, NJ, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on November 25, 1930, he was a native of Fontana Liri, Frosinone, Italy.
Alfredo was a Carabinieri (Italian Military Police), before he left for America in 1962. His journey began in Elizabeth, NJ, where he worked as a butcher. Years later, along with his relatives, he moved to Roselle, and ultimately settled down in Morris Plains in 1998.
Alfredo was also a successful real estate entrepreneur for many years, which allowed him to fund his children/grandchildren's private school and college education.
Alfredo is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Anna Maria; dear daughter and son-in-law, Marisa and Frank Jr.; and devoted son and daughter-in-law, Antonio Sr. and Marleen. He is also survived by his seven cherished grandchildren, Angela, Frank III, Nicolas, Dominic, Antonio Jr., Alexander, Adriana; and one great-grandchild, Azaria.
Alfredo was a beloved family man, adored by his kids and grandchildren. He will be sorely missed.
Visiting will be from 2-6 pm, on Sunday, November 25th, at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass for Alfredo will be held on Monday, November 26th, at 10:00am at St. Virgil's Church, 250 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains. Interment will be private.
