My heartfelt condolences to Louis’ family.
I met Louis when I started working at the exchange in 1982.. He worked for Maduff.. I was 18 and worked as a clerk on the 7th floor of 4 WTC.. table X , where he would come down from the 8th floor everyday after the close . He was a great guy , always laughing and full of life ..and that’s how I will remember him ..
*** and he was VERY particular about his Purple Pen .. he absolutely HAD to have it before the market opened ..
RIP LOUI

My deepest sympathy. I have the fondest memories of "Little Louis" (so-called because we didn't have a better idea of how to distinguish him from his slightly older -but no larger-cousin "Big Louis") while we were hanging out on the street corners in Yonkers.
He had a quick sense of humor and a huge pair of-well you know. Mid-teen sleepovers in his basement would turn into early morning rambles and rowdy adventures. If you look very closely at the staircase entrance on Underhill Street you can still faintly make out the word "Greasers" painted there 45 years ago. That was us, although Lou seemed to run easily with any crowd that was fun for him. I watched the Woodstock festival documentary with Lou and the boys one night and it opened our eyes to a whole different world beyond our life of leather jackets and classic Chevys.
I remember that he handed me my first swallow of scotch with the promise that it never gets you sick then smirked as I was on my hands and knees behind our home-built plywood shack clubhouse.
I saw him at a wake (too many of those these days) maybe about a year ago and was amazed how little he had changed but how many years had passed.
Rest in Peace old friend.
