Father, I am sure you have made it home. Thank you for all of my fond memories at St. Therese Parish & School, as our Pastor you allowed it all to happen. It was my fortune to know you and be educated by you. I will never forget my days as an altar boy, working at the rectory and attending St. Therese School and Church. You always had great and insperational things for the parish to learn and live our faith. I try to help recreate some of those things at my parish today. When asked how did I come up with the idea or someone says that is a good idea, I say it wasnt me this is what my Pastor Fr. Russo did at St. Therese. The faith formation you provided in my youth, helps me today with my life and my little girl. I will also never forget the Seaside Heights trips and your cool sneakers. :) God Bless you and thank you! Mike Heller

May heaven have a special place just for you and may you be at the lords side. I still have great memories of at the time Father Russo when me and my 2 brothers attended St Therese in Paterson, He taught me not only how to be a good catholic but how to be an even greater Alter Boy. When some were leaving being alter-boys after graduating 8th grade, I stayed on for 2 more years after going into high school. He was a great inspiration and truly deserving of his title. My deepest and most profound prayers to him and his family. I am truly a better person for knowing him. God bless him and GodSpeed to him.

Msgr. Russo or "Padre" as he was often called was a remarkably spiritual man whose words and wisdom will forever hold a special place in my heart. Throughout the 40 years that I have known him he never ceased to help me discover how the Lord is working in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. I know that he is standing beside St. Therese and together they are "spending heaven doing good upon earth."
