Obituary of Clare Pickering Eckhard

Clare Pickering  Eckhard, 96, of Whippany, passed away on June 10, 2018.

Born in Onslow, Iowa, Clare resided in Whippany for many years.

Clare graduated from the University of Dubuque and McCormick Theological Seminary. She was Director of Religious Education at The Presbyterian Church in Morristown on the Green for 17 years, before retiring in 1986. She was also a member of Presbyterian Women.

Clare is survived by her devoted children, Tom and Judith Eckhard, of Morristown, and Richard and Mary Jo Eckhard, of Hillsborough. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Brianna and Tom Pileggi, and Ben and Sarah Eckhard; as well as her adored great-grandchild, Everly.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 7-9pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison. Graveside Service and Interment for Clare will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 10:30am at Restland Memorial Park, 77 DeForest Avenue, East Hanover.
