I was blessed to encounter Janet's gentle presence when attending VOTF services. She radiated a special warmth....and tender connection. We are all so much diminished by her passing.....but, blessed by her continuing life in transformed eternal bliss.
Condolences to all her family ..... I know you have lost a gracious presence in your lives. Know she lives on. I love the message that....life is not ended. it is merely changed! Yes.....and alleluia!

Janet worked with my mother Eleanor Manning for many years at Bee Meadow School in Whippany. They were good friends and shared many good times together.
My children went to that school too, and she was always kind and friendly. Years later I met her at some VOTF events and was glad to see that her faith continued to lead her to help others. She as a truly holy woman, in the tradition of Dorothy Day.May angels greet her and perpetual light shine upon her....

Janet's unassuming resourcefulness is a blessing I will cherish each time I engage in some form of both the Spiritual and Corporal Works of mercy since she is the one who unfailingly demonstrated to me the real flesh and bones of Christian compassion and outreach to anyone in need.
Janet always had not just a kind word but a thoughtful and sincere word of encouragement and compassion for everyone she met. She didn't have to know you to love you, a real sign of God's pattern of unconditional love. I will recall her fondly and with deep gratefulness for her spiritual presence which I feel even now and will celebrate forever.
