Obituary of Esmond W Cassini

Esmond W. Cassini of Florham Park, NJ, passed away on May 10, 2015 at Morristown Medical Center. He was 80 years old. Esmond was born in Orange, NJ. He was a resident of Florham Park for 53 years. Known as “Ezzie” to family and friends, Ezzie managed family-owned Esso Gas Stations in Orange, NJ. He later became the proprietor of Ernest & Werner Restaurant in Orange, NJ for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Gartland) Cassini and by his daughters, Karen Leigh and her husband, Guy; Susan Cerbasio and her husband, Louis; his sons, Joe Cassini and his wife, Barbara and Chris Cassini and his wife, Betsy; his son-in-law, Steve McGee, and is predeceased by his daughter, Peggy McGee. He is also survived by his sisters, Arlene Di Pompeo and Emily Cassini; as well as his grandchildren, Jessica and Michael Leigh, Erica Cerbasio, Joseph, Kevin, and Karley Cassini, Margo, Olivia, and Avery McGee, and Lauren and Christopher Cassini. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, May 14, 2015, from 4-8 pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main St., Madison, NJ 07940. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015, at 10:00 am at Holy Family Church, 1 Lloyd Ave., Florham Park, NJ 07932. Entombment will be at the family mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ.
