Despite the insurmountable heartache from losing Jamie far too soon, I am so very blessed to have known him since the first grade at TJS. Jamie was by far one of the kindest and most selfless people that I have had the privilege of sharing a friendship with. Whether it was a bear hug in the hallway at school to brighten my day, or needing a ride home late at night, I could always count on Jamie to be there with a smile on his face - no questions asked. His genuine love of making others happy is just one of the many amazing qualities that made Jamie such a special friend. I am a better person having known Jamie, and will strive to live life in a way that mirrors the kind hearted spirit that he was. Jamie's witty banter and infectious smile will be missed more than words can express. My sincere thoughts & prayers go out to the Hunter family and Devin, may you find solace knowing that you have the most loving guardian angel protecting you & smiling down on you each and every day.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Jamie's passing. I have fond memories of Jamie as a child.
Jamie was friends with my son Thorin, who was a few years behind him at TJS. When Jamie went to middle school he would still stop by the house to see how Thorin was doing. We would sit and talk about life events, interests, and future plans. He was a very thoughtful, kind, and loving boy and it is clear that he grew into a thoughtful, kind, and loving man. My condolences to all who loved Jamie.
~May you see light on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember
When the shadows fall—
You do not walk alone.~

I am very sad to have heard of Bear1426's passing. I never met him in person but I first spoke to him on April 2014, as I was looking for a guild in Battle Nations. He was very helpful, he took his time explaining BS rules, gave me advice on joining BE, and was very detailed in answering my many questions. We even exchanged one or two short sentences in French, two words in Spanish, and one in German. He came across as a very kind, funny, and helpful person. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

First and foremost my thoughts are with Jamie's family and friends at this time of loss, I want to thank his sister for writing in our chats at a hard time to let us know of the funeral arrangements and to have a beer or shot of Jameson for Bear, it was so thoughtful of her at a time of loss so thank you for that, I had the pleasure to know Jamie through battle nations and then Jurassic World. Jamie or Bear, was full of life, energy, passion, and compassion. He played in a few battle nations tournaments I arranged and that is how we became friends. You could tell he had a real passion for life, we spoke when he worked night shifts as most of US would be asleep but I would be up due to me being from Australia.. Many people not just from Banana Stand Republic where Bear encouraged me to go, felt so fondly of him, that shows a true testament to the character of Bear. His family and friends should be proud of the person he became and remember the goodness that shone through him in the times of sadness. I got the Jameson yesterday and decided to save it and have a shot for him on Christmas. Rip Bear, cheers Fun.

On behalf of me and family I want to offer my condolences to Jaime's family and friends. Though I never met him in person, He was a true friend. I met Jaime under the gamer tag of Bear1426 on one of his favorite games, Battle Nations. When I first talked to him you could tell he had a kind soul. We would often spend nights talking about the game and life in general as we both worked the night shift at our respective jobs. Jaime just had a huge heart and was willing to help anyone who asked. He had this uncanny ability to share his wisdom while including his signature humor. I will never forget the discussions and time we shared. He is loved and respected by many players who he impacted online. May his soul live on thru our memories. We will miss you Jaime. Spread your wings and fly buddy.

My heart hurts for Debbie, Rob, Jessica, Grandmother Hunter, all of Jamie's aunts, uncles and cousins. There are no words to convey the sadness I feel for all of you. Jamie was a good guy. In a world of 20 somethings where many are self absorbed and oblivious to everyone but themselves, Jamie stood out. He carried about family, friends and just being a decent person. There are so many what ifs that could have changed what happened but for a reason not known to us, a wonderful, good, decent person was snatched away in an instant. I knew Jamie through the eyes and heart of his mother. Debbie didn't brag about Jamie. She spoke lovingly of him and his kindness and goodness became apparent to all of us who listened. He was protective and loving and cared deeply about his parents and sister. He worried about all of you. Please know and believe that you all have an army of people standing alongside you in spirit. Deb, your friends at work are crying with you. We want to help. The offer of support does not have a time limit. We love you and are here whenever we are needed.
