Obituary of Norbert J Charron, Sr.

Norbert “ Nobby “ James Charron Sr., 92, passed away Sunday December 13, 2015 at Morristown Medical Center. Norbert was born to Albert and Emma Charron on July 2, 1923 in Middlebury, VT and was one of 14 children. He resided in Morris Plains for the past 65 years. Norbert served as a Corporal in the U.S Marine Corp during World War II. While serving in Iwo Jima, he was awarded the Purple Heart. He had numerous businesses throughout the years but most remember him and his family for owning Charron’s Cocktail Lounge in Parsippany. Later on he joined the Laborers International Union of local 593 out of Hillsborough. He was a member of the VFW post # 3401 and a volunteer with the Morris Minutemen in Morris Plains. He was predeceased by his wife Maryellen Charron and son, Norbert Charron, Jr.. He is survived by his daughter Veronica Perrusio and her husband Guy of Morris Plains; son Kevin Charron of Hawaii; Brother, Mike Charron and his wife Marion of Florida; sisters Bernadette Charron and Ann Parks of Arizona; grandchildren Diane Cunningham and her partner Jeff Baker of Budd lake; Sandra Erwin and husband Mark , Joseph Vega and Danielle Vega of California, and Arielle Perrusio of West Milford; great grandchildren Samantha and Alex Cunningham and Emilia Erwin. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Visitation will be held on Monday December 21, 2015 at Dangler Funeral Home located at 600 Speedwell Ave, Morris Plains from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:00am December 22, 2015 at Dangler Funeral Home, 10:00am Mass at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church in Cedar Knolls, interment to follow at Gates of Heaven in East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association (http://www.alz.org).
