Obituary of William J Peason, Jr.

William “Bill” J. Peason, Jr., 67, of Morristown passed away peacefully at Morristown Medical Center on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. Bill was born in Newark on July 4, 1948. He grew up in Florham Park, graduated from Hanover Park High School in 1966 and LaSalle College, Philadelphia in 1970. He started his career in insurance as a producer with his father at the Peason Agency of Irvington. In 1991, several agencies formed the Livingston Insurance Agency of which Bill was President until his retirement in 2014. His career spanned over 40 years during this time he was an insurance instructor, received the designation of Accredited Advisor of Insurance, and was President of the Motor Club of America Regional Agents Association. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Barbara Brown Peason. He was predeceased by his father, William J. Peason, Sr. and mother, Marcae Peason. He is also survived by his brothers, Edward Peason and Dean Peason; his sister, Kathleen Bacon, and her husband, William; and many nieces and nephews he loved and who loved their “Uncle Bill.” Bill’s sense of humor and friendly and fun spirit will be remembered by all of those who were lucky enough to know him. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 3-7pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison. A Funeral Mass for Bill will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 10:00am at Assumption Church, 94 Maple Avenue, Morristown. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover.
