Obituary of Anny Korn

Please share a memory of Anny to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anny Korn, wife of Jacob Korn for 70 years, passed away peacefully at her home in Morris Plains on January 1, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born in Austria and married Jacob Korn, a US soldier, on January 1, 1946 during World War II. She came to the US in 1946 and lived in Morristown, moved to Dover and then Morris Plains in 1960 where she resided with her husband until her passing. She was an active member of both the B'nai B'rith of Morristown and the Patricia Chambers School for disabled children in Cedar Knolls and devoted her life to her husband Jacob and her five sons, Herbert, Bernard, Ronald, Gordon and Kenneth, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She loved the holidays and would serve the most delicious dishes to her large family. Her family will remember her as a woman who they turned to for comfort, was totally unselfish, a great listener and an inspiration to everyone she came in contact with. She traveled the world with her husband Jacob, yet led a life of simplicity with devotion and love for all. Funeral services were held at Danglers Funeral Home in Morris Plains on January 3, 2016. Friends are encouraged to visit with the family from Monday, January 4, 2016 through Thursday, January 7, 2016 between 5 pm and 7 pm and Friday, January 8, 2016 between 1 pm and 3 pm. Please Contact Herbert Korn at 973-886 2910 for the location of the visitation with the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are welcome and can be made to the Patricia Chambers School- www.chambersschool.org.
