Obituary of Ethel Lillian Callahan

Ethel Lillian Callahan, 83, passed away on January 9, 2016. Born August 5, 1932 in Parsippany, Ethel resided in Morristown and Boonton before moving to Morris Township 53 years ago. Ethel graduated from Boonton High School in 1950. She worked as a Waitress for Poor Herbie’s and various restaurants for 40 years, before retiring in 1994. She was also a member of the Women's Republican Club & Zonta. Ethel is survived by her devoted son, William R. Callahan and wife, Anne, of Morris Plains; her beloved sister, Lois Baldwin, of Mine Hill; her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie Marcario, and her husband, Jason, William J. Callahan, and Shana Cascio, and her husband, Michael; as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Dominic and Anthony Marcario. She is also survived by her dear friends, Barbara Woodhall, Thelma Personette, Christine and David Rickwalder; and many nieces and nephews. Ethel was predeceased by her husband, William P. Callahan (1988). Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Service for Ethel will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 10:00am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morris Township.
