Obituary of William Drew Hazen, Sr.

William Drew Hazen, Sr, 90 years of age, passed away on February 8, 2016 . He was born in Morristown, NJ and was a life-long resident of Morris Plains, NJ. Mr. Hazen was a 1946 graduate of Morristown High School. He worked as a mechanical engineer at Picatinny Arsenal, Dover NJ for 19 years until his retirement in 1986. He was a Cub Master and District Manager for the Boy Scouts of America for many years. He served in the Navy and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He loved trains and was an avid collector of trains. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara J. and his two sons, W. Drew Hazen, Jr. and his wife, Marie, and Richard W. Hazen. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dawn, Billy, Heather, Danielle, Erin, Kelly, Michael, Michelle and Richard, Jr. Friends and relatives are invited to gather at Dangler Funeral Home, Inc., 600 Speedwell Ave, Morris Plains, NJ 07950 on Wed, February 10, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 11, at 10:00 am at Dangler Funeral Home. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Morristown, NJ.
