Obituary of Brigida Loia

Brigida “Angelica” Loia, 86, formerly of Morristown, more recently of Morris Plains, passed away on February 22, 2016 in Morris Plains. Born in Tocco Caudio, Italy, Angelica resided in Morristown before moving to Morris Plains 16 years ago. Angelica worked at Mepco Electric in Morris Township, and CTI as a Production Clerk in Whippany for many years before retiring. She was a member of St. Margaret’s Church in Morristown. Angelica is survived by her devoted children, John Loia, and his wife, Cindy, of Pueblo, CO, Joe Loia, of Smithfield, NC, and Elizabeth Loia, of East Hanover, NJ. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Lina Buono, of Milano, Italy; her cherished grandchildren, Johnna Loia, Michael Loia, Giovanni Loia, and Celeste Loia; as well he her adored great-grandchildren, Baylee and John Michael; and many nieces and nephews. Angelica was predeceased by her husband, Mino Loia; her daughter, Celeste Loia; and her siblings, Gennaro Buono, and Natalini Donisi. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 4-8pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass for Angelica will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Margaret’s Church, 6 Sussex Avenue, Morristown. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memory of Angelica can be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/), or Mt.
