Obituary of Werner Paul Brodde

Werner Paul Brodde, age 89, formerly of Florham Park, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in Bridgewater, NJ. Werner was born in Germany to Paul and Lotte Brodde on August 21, 1925. He and his wife, Helga, moved to the United States in 1959. He was employed for 20 years by Hoffman-LaRoche. He worked as a photographer all of his life, and also enjoyed boating and playing chess. He was a long-time member of the Schlaraffia German Club in Union, NJ. Werner is survived by his son, Thomas Brodde, and his wife, Patricia; and his daughter, Andrea Brodde and her husband, Michael. He is also survived and lovingly remembered by his granddaughters, Katherine Brodde and Gabrielle Brodde. He is predeceased by his wives, Helga Brodde and Rosemary (Wagner) Brodde. Werner was a beloved brother to his sister, Inge Wichmann, of Mulheim, Germany. Visiting will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 5-8pm, with a Funeral Service at 7:30pm, at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison, NJ. Interment will be private.
