Obituary of Charles F Sebelle

Charles “Charlie” Francis Sebelle passed away peacefully at his residence in Morris Plains on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the age of 89. Charlie was born on December 16, 1926 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania to Benjamin and Bertha (Rudkiewicz) Sebelle. He was one of 12 children. Charlie moved to Morris Plains in 1935 and was a life-long resident. Charlie married the former Colleen Moore in 1948. Colleen and Charlie would have been married 68 years in June. Charlie loved the game of baseball. In fact, he played short-stop for GMCB and Morris Plains Baseball Leagues. Charlie owned and operated a gas station in Denville for 10 years. Following that career, he then worked for the Local #68 Operating Engineers, until his retirement. Charlie is predeceased by his son, Thomas Sebelle. He is survived by his loving wife, Colleen (Moore); his three devoted sons, Charles Sebelle, and his wife, Mary Ellen, Joseph Sebelle, and his wife, Dianna, and Stephen Sebelle, and his wife, Marianne; and his dear daughter, Colleen Boccolini, and her husband, John. He is also survived by his nine cherished grandchildren; six adored great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass for Charlie will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memory of Charlie may be made to: Morris Minute Men, P.O. 192 Morris Plains, NJ 07950.
