Obituary of Edward A Moore, Jr.

Edward “Eddie” A. Moore, Jr., 73, of Madison, passed away on April 13, 2016. Born in Morristown, Eddie was a life-long resident of Madison. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968. Eddie earned his Associates degree from Boston College, and his B.A. degree from Parsons College in Iowa. Eddie was a self-employed restaurant owner for over 30 years. He began his career with his first restaurant, Lopo Junction, in Madison, and continued with Tavern Off The Green in Morristown. He retired in 2000. Eddie was also a member of St. Vincent Martyr Church in Madison. Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Delisa) Moore, of Madison; and his devoted daughters, Jamie Moore, and Michele (Moore) Price, and her husband, Sean, all of Morristown. He is also survived by many dear cousins, nieces, nephews, and their extended families. Eddie was predeceased by his brother, John Moore. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 2-6pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison. A Funeral Mass for Eddie will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison. Interment will follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in memory of Eddie may be made to: St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
