Obituary of Jerome J Schlesinger

Jerome J. Schlesinger, 73, passed away on May 4, 2016 in Morris Plains, NJ. He was born in Manhattan, NY and lived in Budd Lake for 20 years prior to moving to Morris Plains.Jerome graduated from Morris Hills High School, Rockaway, NJ. He worked as a mail processor for the US Postal Service, Whippany, NJ, until his retirement in 2002. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1965 until 1970.Jerome is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Pettorini, Rockaway, NJ, his son, Daniel Schlesinger, Plantation, FL and his brother , Edwin Schlesinger, and his sisters, Christine Duke, Meg Fiscus, and Dorothy Buznitsky.A funeral Mass will be held for Jerome on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 8:30 am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover, NJ 07936. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in memory of Jerome to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38501.
