Obituary of Robert W Thomas

Robert W. Thomas, 65, passed away on May 11, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. Robert was born in Sussex, NJ, and lived in Hanover Township prior to residing in Franklin, NJ. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1968. He worked for St. Virgil’s Church in Morris Plains for 23 years. He was also a member of the Franklin Fire Department. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Finizio-Thomas; his beloved parents, Arvila ( Moore) and Frank Thomas, Jr.; his devoted children, Shannon Reid, and her husband, Chuck, Marisa Thomas, Lauren Finizio-LeoGrande, and her husband, Paul, Michael Finizio, and his fiance’, Pina Morrone, Janet Finizio, and her fiance’, Brian Markowski; as well as his adored grandchildren, Ryan and Aidan Reid; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 3-7pm at St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains, NJ. A Funeral Mass for Robert will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Virgil’s Church. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Franklin, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in memory of Robert may be made to St. Virgil’s Church, or the Franklin Fire Department., 137 Buckwheat Road, Franklin, NJ 07416. Arrangements were under the care of Dangler Funeral Home, Morris Plains, NJ.
