Dear Joyce: I was devastated to learn today that my dear friend Gene had passed away. I am so sorry that I did not know, as Carolyn and I certainly would have been at the services. I had spoken last to Gene back in April, just before the York Show. I knew that he had been diagnosed recently with Parkinson's Disease, but he seemed to be in good spirits and doing relatively well. I was planning to call Gene today to discuss the upcoming York Show in October with the hope that he would be well enough to attend, when I discovered the terrible news that he had passed. We will certainly say our prayers for Gene, as he was a friend, a valued colleague and the attorney on my mother's estate. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
