Obituary of Louis J Montemarano

Louis J. Montemarano, 84, of Morris Plains, NJ passed away at home on July 3, 2016. Born in Newark, Louis resided in Belleville before moving to Morris Plains 28 years ago. Louis proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a Corporal-Radio Operator. Louis attended George Washington University. He worked as a Steel Worker in Harrison, NJ for 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed coaching Belleville Little League Football for many years. Louis was also a member of St. Virgil’s Church, Morris Plains. Louis is survived by his loving wife, Lucille (Pentimone) Montemarano; his devoted children, Mark Montemarano, of Morris Plains, and David and Rose Montemarano, of Netcong; as well as his dear grandson, David Montemarano; his many cherished nieces and nephews; and his favorite pet, Rocky. Louis was predeceased by his sister, Mary DiFillipo. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 4-7pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass for Louis will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Virgil’s Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in memory of Louis may be made to: Humane Society (http://www.humanesociety.org/), or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/).
