Obituary of Riva Raz

Riva Raz, 69, of Morris Plains, N.J., passed away in New York City, N.Y., on July 14, 2016. A funeral service for Riva will be held on Monday, July 18, at 11 a.m. at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains. Interment will follow at Mt. Freedom Hebrew Cemetery in Randolph, N.J. Born in Ulm, Germany, and raised in Israel, Riva resided in Morris Plains for the past 41 years. She graduated Kappi Pi Kappa with a degree in audiology from Montclair State University in 1990. Riva also served in the Israeli Defense for Forces for two years. She worked as an audiologist with her husband, Dr. Sharir Raz M.D., in Morristown for 15 years before retiring in 2010. Riva is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Sharir Raz M.D., and devoted sons, Steven Raz and his wife, Jennifer, of New Jersey, and Dan Raz of California. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Alec, Jesse, Leo, Ari, and Evan.
