Obituary of Jesse Rametta

Jesse J. Rametta, 93, of Madison, passed away on August 5, 2016. Jesse resided in Cedar Knolls for most of his life and lived in Madison in his later years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, when he piloted U-boats and witnessed the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima. Jesse earned his Bachelor’s degree from Upsala College. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Jesse is survived by his sister Nina Johnson, Bremerton, WA; his nieces Joanne Baldwin, Mount Arlington NJ; Linda Bernier, Bremerton WA; Elaine Parks, Bremerton WA; and Cathy Trinka, Morris Plains NJ; and his nephews John Rametta, Jr., Highland Park NJ, and Joseph Rametta, Somerset NJ. Jesse was predeceased by his brothers Charles Rametta and John Rametta, Sr. His ashes will be inurned at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA.
