Obituary of Henry Harris Reid, Jr.

Henry Harris Reid, Jr., 69, passed away peacefully at home on November 11, 2016. He was a life-long resident of Morristown, NJ. Henry graduated from Morristown High School in 1967. He worked as a driver/laborer for the Morris Township Department of Public Works for 29 years until his retirement in 2011. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Morristown, NJ. Henry is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Reid, and his children, D’Rhonda Reid, Haskell, NJ, Nicole Williams, Boonton, NJ, as well as three stepchildren, Sonja Walker, Rice, VA, David Woodson, Farmville, VA, and Tyrone Woodson, Aurora, CO. He is also survived by his mother, Ola Reid, Morristown, NJ, and a brother, Dennis Reid, Morristown, NJ, and a grandson, Derrick Reid, and step grandchildren, Asia and Nicole Reid and a host of nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Thursday, November 17, 2016, from 3-7 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains, NJ 07950. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016, at 11:00am at Calvary Baptist Church, Morristown, NJ. Interment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
