Obituary of Catherine P. Banks

Catherine Banks, 87, of Morris Township passed away on November 24, 2016. Born in Elizabeth, Catherine resided in Morris Township for 60 years. Catherine graduated from Battin High School in 1947. She worked as an Office Manager at a medical practice in Morristown until she retired in 1996. Catherine is survived by her devoted children, Susan and Chuck Tanzola, of Long Valley, Steven, and his girlfriend, Victoria Benfield, of Morristown, Eileen and Jeff Lake, of Denville, and Patricia Banks and Jon Marlow, of Bayonne. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey, Patrick, and Brian Lake, Christopher Tanzola, and Gene Taylo, and his fiancé, Grace Spain. Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Allan Patrick Banks; her brother, Joseph Howard Duff; her sister, Rosemarie Burgess; and her precious granddaughter, Mateja Taylo. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 4-8pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Service for Catherine will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11:00am at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in memory of Catherine may be made to: VNA of Northern NJ, or NJ Audubon.
