Betty A. Moser, 89, formerly of Union and Florham Park, passed away in West Orange on May 19, 2019. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 21, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Burroughs, Kohr and Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison, NJ. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 22 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 85 Washington Avenue, Chatham, NJ. Interment is private.

Betty was born in Newark, NJ and attended both Columbia High School in Maplewood and Weequahic High School. She graduated from Drake Business School in Newark. While raising three children, Betty worked in various offices namely, Broder Credit and Collection Agency and as a medical secretary for over 25 years for Dr. Mahmood Cheema in Livingston. After retiring from Dr. Cheema’s office, she went on to work for Dr. Schalet in Morristown until her early 80’s.  Betty was an avid knitter making sweaters and blankets for her grandchildren when they were small and also made award winning Halloween costumes for them. Holidays were always a feast at her house, welcoming everyone, and feeding them her Italian specialties and homemade Italian cookies. No one left hungry and everyone went home with a doggie bag.

Betty is survived by her children, Susan Cohen (Stuart) and Jeff Williamson and her grandchildren, Stacy, Steven and Scott who were the apple of her eye. She is also survived by her favorite cousin, Harry Scofield, stepchildren, Camille Cullen, Carol Helmer, Lynn Pezzino, Anthony Angelo, Barbara Mattson and Robert Moser, M.D. and many step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Mary (Manochio) Gwoosh, her sister, Joan Triano, beloved son Stephen Williamson, and husbands Anthony Angelo and Robert Moser. We would like to thank her devoted caregiver Roseline Odumogu who took great care of “Betty Moser” while she was still at home, the caring staff at Daughters of Israel and the Hospice team who made her life comfortable the last few weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smile Train, P.O. Box 96231, Washington, DC  20090 or the Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter, 194 Route 10 West, East Hanover, NJ  07936.
