Obituary of Vincent P. Marchese

Vincent Paul Marchese, 78, of Morris Township, NJ, passed away July 26, 2019.

Born in Middletown, CT, Vincent moved to Morris Township, where he has resided for 44 years. Vincent graduated from Middletown High School, CT in 1959. He went on to graduate from Northeastern University, Boston in 1964 with a bachelor’s degree in Physics, then received his Master's Degree from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken.

Before his retirement, Vincent was the Chief of the Aeroballistics Division at Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, NJ for over 30 years.

Vincent was a parishioner of St. Virgil's Parish in Morris Plains and was a member of the Morris Minute Men for 7 years. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus, Morris Choral Society, Picatinny Choir and St. Virgil's Choir. Vincent was an avid photographer and collected antique maps.

Vincent is survived by his loving wife, Karen Marchese, of Morris Township, caring daughters, Adria Marchese, of Morris Township and Shayna Marchese, of Jersey City. Vincent is also survived by his cherished mother-in-law, Josephine Knobloch. Vincent is predeceased by his parents and brother, Raymond Marchese (1990).

Family and friends are welcome to gather for visiting hours on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 3-7 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Funeral Mass for Vincent will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 10 am at St. Virgil's, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown.
