Elizabeth Avery Vroom, 91, passed away on October 20, 2016 at Heath Village, Hackettstown, NJ. She was born in St. Louis, MO, and lived in Morristown, NJ, before she and husband, Don, retired to Fredericksburg, VA, prior to moving to Hackettstown.
Elizabeth attended Syracuse University for three years before transferring to William Jewell College, MO, where she graduated with her husband earning a Bachelor’s degree. She worked as an administrative assistant for Novartis in East Hanover, NJ.
Elizabeth is survived by her beloved husband, Don Edward Vroom, and her daughter, Deborah Martin and husband, Paul, her sons, Peter Vroom and wife, Nancy, and David Vroom and his wife, Sallie. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Elizabeth Rosnell (Brian), Ryan Martin (Lauren), Andrew Vroom, Katherine Meacham (Mark), Zachary Vroom, and Madeline Vroom as well as great-grandchildren, Bode and Rowan Rosnell, Jane Martin, Brooke and Nicholas Meacham.
A Memorial Service for Elizabeth will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Dangler Funeral Home, Morris Plains, NJ.
