Obituary of John W. Wilson
John William “Bill” Wilson, age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2019.
He was born on May 23, 1938 in Newark NJ to Robert Wilson and Margaret Purcell. John worked as a talented sign painter for Essex Sign Company for nearly 45 years. He was a loyal and faithful husband of 33 years to Charlotte Wilson.
John was a devoted father to Karen (Wilson) Memory and grandfather to Brianna and Gavin. He always enjoyed spending time with his family, going to concerts and community events with friends and relaxing in the garden amongst his flowers. John’s bright smile and gentle demeaner caused him to be loved by all who knew him.
John is survived by his sister Kathy Suchcicki and brother James Wilson; his daughter and son in-law Karen and James Memory; his grandchildren Brianna and Gavin Memory; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Charlotte (Morgan) Wilson.
He was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed, but will always be remembered by his favorite saying, “Everyday is a gift!”
