Obituary of Richard A. Bogia
Richard A. Bogia, 74, of Randolph, passed away on September 1, 2019 at Dover General Hospital in Dover.
Born in Baltimore, MD, Richard has resided in Randolph for the past 38 years.
Richard graduated from Towson High School in Maryland, and attended American University, where he majored in Political Science, with a minor in International Affairs. He proudly served his country as a Major in the U.S. Army, and went on to serve for 20 years in the National Guard in Maryland.
Richard worked as an A.V.P. in Claims for the Greater New York Insurance Company for a number of years, before retiring in 2008. He was a member of the NRA, 29th Division Association in Pikesville, MD.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; and his dear son, Randy. He is also survived by his nephews, Kasey Andrews and Ron Surratt; his great-nephew, Eli Surratt; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Surratt and his wife, Dolly, and Pastor Ron Surratt and his wife, Sheila.
Visiting will be on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 6-8pm, with a brief Prayer Service at 7:15pm, at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment will be private and at a later date.
