Obituary of Francis E. Slojkowski

Francis "Frank" E. Slojkowski, 82, of Morris Plains, NJ passed away on September 13, 2019 in Morris Plains, NJ.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Frank was raised in St. Louis, MO before residing in Morris Plains, NJ, where he has lived for the past 48 years.

Frank graduated from the University of St. Louis with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1959 and later went on to receive his Master's Degree. Before his retirement, Frank was an Electrical Engineer at Bell Labs/Lucent Technologies in Whippany, NJ for 41 years.

He was a parishioner of St. Virgil's Church and a member of the American Radio Relay League. Frank was an avid ham radio operator and participated in many domestic and international ham radio contests for which he received numerous awards. 

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Slojkowski of Morris Plains, NJ, caring children, Steven Slojkowski of Laurel, MD, Janet Brown and her husband, Scott of Charleston, SC, Anne Miller and her husband, Rob of Morris Plains, NJ and David Slojkowski and his wife, Valerie of Caldwell, NJ. Frank is also survived by his adoring grandchildren, Furman and Hayden Brown, and Kathryn and Evan Cischke, devoted siblings, Thomas Slojkowski of St. Louis, MO and Joanne Condon and her husband, Kevin of St. Charles, MO, and cherished nieces and nephews, Patrick Condon, Eileen Myers, Michael Condon and Kathy Boettcher. Frank is predeceased by his siblings, Robert Slojkowski and Marianne Slojkowski.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, September 16, 2019 from 4-7 pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Frank on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Virgil's Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown, NJ.
