Obituary of Anna Ruth Duty

Anna Ruth Duty, 93, passed away peacefully at home on November 23, 2019. She was born in Conway, Arkansas and lived in Livingston, NJ, for 20 years prior to moving to Morristown, where she has resided for the past 22 years.

Anna graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College in 1946 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She was the family matriarch who lovingly took care of her family. She loved to sew, garden and spend time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving children, Fredrica Steinberg and her husband, Michael, Stephen Duty, Bruce Duty and his wife, Alicia, Roberta Duty, and her sisters, Carolyn and Gigi and her brothers, Ralph and Jerry. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Katie and her husband, Jim, Sarah and her husband, Louis, and Bruce, and adoring great-grandchildren, Brayden, Caroline, Austin, Laila and Aliyah.

She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Edward R. Duty, in 1988 and her son, Richard.

A private ceremony and gathering will be held at family home on Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 1-5 pm. Please call Roberta for further details. The family requests that donations may be made in Anna’s memory to the charity of your choice.
