Obituary of Oswaldo Mendez

Oswaldo “Ozzie” Mendez, 56, of Morristown, NJ passed away on January 20, 2017. Born in Havana, Cuba, Ozzie resided in Flemington before moving to Morristown. He graduated from Emerson High School and New Jersey City University (NJCU). Ozzie was the owner of Menco Business Products in Hillsborough for 30 years. Ozzie is survived by his loving wife, Paula Sollazzo Mendez; and his devoted children, Christopher Mendez, and his fiancé, Carly Peterson, of New York City, Alexandra Mendez, of Denville, NJ, and Matthew Mendez, of Laffayette, Louisiana. He is also survived by his beloved father, Camilo Mendez; and his dear sister, Ileana Mendez. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 4-7pm at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ. A Funeral Mass for Ozzie will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 1:30pm at Assumption Church, 94 Maple Avenue, Morristown, NJ. Interment will be private. Ozzie was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, and friend. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
