Obituary of Theodore R. Bruns

Theodore Bruns (Ted) passed away on February 11, 2020 peacefully at Morristown Medical Center following a long illness. He was born and raised in New Vernon where he was a life-long resident. Ted was a Master Plumber for 50 years. After his retirement, he worked in Madison as a Crossing Guard. He enjoyed talking to families. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in New Vernon and served as an Elder of the Church. Ted is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Janet, and his four children, Sharon Casendino and her husband, Ralph, Robin Galton and her husband Lanny, Ted Bruns and his wife, Susan, and Jennifer McCann and her husband, Michael. He is also survived by his sister, Corinne Fennimore as well as his 10 cherished grandchildren, R.J., Brian, Vinnie, Christina, Amanda, Jackie, Tim, A.J., Zach, and Taylor. Ted also had three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Brianna, and Brendan. Family and Friends are welcome to gather on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 2-5 pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main St., Madison, NJ 07940. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 11:00 am at New Vernon First Presbyterian Church, 2 Lees Hill Road, New Vernon, NJ, 07976. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Ted’s memory to the Person in Need Fund (P.I.N fund) at the First Presbyterian Church of New Vernon, NJ.
