Please share a memory of Frances to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
God called an angel home on Tuesday, March 24th. Frances Rose (Gasdia) Selle passed in her Morris Plains home with family by her side after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on June 3, 1942. At age 1, Frances was adopted by Frank and Ruth Gasdia, who gave her and older sister a wonderful family life. She was a proud graduate of St. Patrick School, in Chatham, where she sang in the chorus, especially for Masses from 1956-1960. Frances graduated from Mount St. John Academy High School, in Gladstone, class of 1960. Through her High School, Frances tried out two times for the New Jersey All-State Chorus Auditions. Frances lived a life blessed with longtime friends, a desire to explore the world, and most importantly family. She taught them love, kindness, strength, and appreciation for the beauty other people have to offer us. Frances is survived by her loving husband Dietrich. They shared days filled with devotion and love throughout their 55-year marriage. She enjoyed simple things that gave her life delight; like going to the community pool, watching her husband garden, active treasured member of the Morris Plains Senior Center, and being a talented homemaker. Frances cherished raising her children David (wife Susan) and Ruth Selle. Their smiles brought joy to her life and she loved to watch them enjoy their lives. She adored grandchildren, Gregory and Kimberly. Brother James Biringer, wife Barbara, and son James. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date when public health and safety permits. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to: St. Jude Children's Hospital. “Till we meet again” -Fran Kept fond memories working for Doctor Anthony Cifelli, over 14 years, and with staff.
