I'm so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I am attending a 200 Club event on 5/5/22 and as I was browsing the 200 Club's website I saw and immediately recognized Jack as a past President, so that prompted me to do a Google search to see if he was still around, and, sadly, that's what led me to his obituary. I met Jack in the early 80s when I was a police dispatcher for Morris Plains PD, and I took my car to Morristown Tire for repairs on many occasions. Jack's baritone voice was unmistakable and he was so friendly and kind and made me feel comfortable when I was in his shop. When I'm in Morristown and pass Morristown Tire, I hear Jack's voice in my mind saying "Morristown Tire" when he would answer the phone, and I have wondered on many occasions if he and Mark were still there. It is a nice memory I have from my young years in the beginning of my career with MPPD. I was also introduced to Jack's daughter Jill by my best friend Brynly Barner. Again, to Jack's whole family, please accept my condolences on the passing of such a good soul.

Jack, along with my own father, set an example of what it truly means to be a gentleman. I am blessed to have shared him as a friend. I look forward to seeing his smile again in the future. Bill

Luck to be among the countless recipients of that great smile and heartfelt hello of his. He sure did life right, and left a great legacy.
I’m so glad I got to witness him as the Grand Marshall of the Morris Plains parade. Makes me smile every time I think about it. That’s a man that deserves a parade!

Our family left Morris Plains many years ago, but Jack is one person that immediately came to mind when I found myself strolling down memory lane of my fond years in Morris Plains. He was always fun-loving and a standout fixture at most Morris Plains functions and volunteer organizations. I particularly remember him leading the singing around any piano he could find. I also appreciated his integrity and excellent service that he provided our cars for many years at his auto repair and tire shop. I was able to keep in touch through the friendship that Jack's daughter Christy and my daughter Dianne have enjoyed from Junior High days until the present. I know he will be greatly missed by everyone, but he is now in God's hands.
