Obituary of Anna Marie Gast

Anna Marie Gast, 84, of Morris Plains, NJ passed away at Arbor Terrace on April 5, 2020. Born in Astoria, Queens, NY, Anna Marie resided in Morris Township, NJ for over 30 years and Chester, NY for 17 years, before moving to Morris Plains, NJ two years ago. Anna Marie graduated from Dominican Commercial High School in 1952. She worked as an Executive Assistant for Dehydro-Tech Corporation in Florham Park, NJ and Hillsborough, NJ for 15 years, before she retired in 2000. Anna Marie was a parishioner of St. Virgil's Church, Morris Plains, NJ. She was also Past President and a Life-Time Member of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary Robert J. Slattery Detachment, Whippany, NJ. Anna Marie was an avid reader, she loved gardening, and spending time with her family. She loved her "Tiger". Anna Marie is survived by her devoted children, Donald and Kathi Gast, of Morris Plains, NJ, Carol and Carmine Annunziato, of West Haverstraw, NY, Richard and Dena Gast, of Yucca Valley, CA, Jeffrey and Liz Gast, of Whippany, NJ, Barbara Lucido, of Austin, TX, Susan and Sam DeGonge, of Round Rock, TX, and Amy and Kevin Rongo, of Morris Plains, NJ. Anna Marie is also survived by her beloved siblings, Sr. Rosemary Hickey, O.P., of Centerport, NY, Kathleen and Peter Tremblay, of Pinellas Park, FL; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Heather Gast, Kristine Gast, Michael Kohn, Tommy Kohn, Robert Gast, Andrew and Danielle DeGonge, Kyle DeGonge, Christopher Lucido, Patrick Gast, Sarah Lucido, and Stephanie Gast; her great-granddaughter, Zoey Gast; her nephew, Drew Keenan, and her nieces, Cindy Keenan Elliott, and Katie Keenan. Anna Marie is predeceased by her husband, Donald Oscar Gast (1985), and her son-in-laws, Mike Kohn (2000) and Chet Lucido (2012). Anna Marie will be laid to rest in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. A Memorial Service for Anna Marie will be held at a later date.
