Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Patricia E. Whitehorne, 63, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020.
Tricia was born in Winnipeg, Canada, on June 5, 1956. After growing up in both Europe and the United States, she graduated from Kinnelon (NJ) High School in 1974 and Rutgers University in 1978.
Her family was the focus of her life, and she loved spending time with them. Tricia was known for her thoughtfulness and uncanny ability to do everything seamlessly—whether it was whipping up a gourmet meal, laying tile, or sewing the best Halloween costumes for her kids and grandkids.
She was also an active volunteer in every community she lived in, including serving as president of the Lincoln Park (NJ) Board of Education, chairing fundraising events that supported cancer research, and volunteering at local food banks.
Tricia will be missed by her husband of 40 years, Kevin; her daughter, Samantha; her son, Christopher, and wife Jessica; as well as her mother, Juliana Hodapp, and mother-in-law Evelyn Whitehorne. For the past few years, nothing made her happier than being Meme to her two grandkids, Charlie and Cal.
A celebration of Tricia’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in her honor to the Oncology Nursing Society Foundation (https://give.onsfoundation.org/).
