Evelyn Levay Morris, 95, of Harding Township, passed away on February 9, 2017. Evelyn loved her family first and foremost and described herself as a wife and mother before anything else. For 14 years, she owned and operated Evelyn Morris Bridal Shop. Throughout her professional and personal life, she was very accomplished and held many positions over the years including: PTA President, Morristown Woman’s Club President, and Shadowbrook board member. In her spare time, Evelyn enjoyed bridge, golf, and bowling. She was active in Harding Twp. Seniors, and volunteered at Morristown Memorial Hospital and the Morris Museum. She was also a member of The Presbyterian Church of Morristown for over 50 years, where she was an ordained elder and an active member of Circle 11. Evelyn is survived by her son-in-law, Ed Goellner; her daughter-in-law, Nancy T. Morris Thaiss; and her grandsons, Peter Ellis and John Robert Morris. She is also survived by her niece, Ann Chaconas; and her nephew, John Levay.
