Obituary of Robert C. Grub

Robert C. Grub, Sr., 87, passed away on February 19, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center. He was born in Newark, NJ and lived in New Vernon for 74 years. Robert graduated from Morristown High School in 1949 and then went on to graduate from Trade School. He was self-employed as a licensed plumbing and heating contractor for Grub Brothers Plumbing & Heating, New Vernon, NJ, for 74 years until his retirement in 1993. Robert belonged to the NJ Region and Pocono Region Antique Auto Club. He served his country as an Army Corporal during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He is survived by his son, Robert C. Grub, Jr, and his girlfriend, Dianna Willix, his brother, Walter A. Grub, Jr. and his granddaughter, Amy Grub, and several nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his wife, Carmela Grub in 2006. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Friday, February 24, 2017, from 4-7 pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main St., Madison, NJ 07940. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at 11:30 am at the First Presbyterian Church of New Vernon, 2 Lees Hill Road, New Vernon, NJ 07976. Interment will follow at the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery, New Vernon.
