As a little kid I remember playing basketball with Dave at the Old Farmers Road Elementary School play ground. He was a really good athlete and I admired and looked up to him as he was a few years older. I happened to run into him at Glaxo Pharmaceuticals RTP North Carolina in a lobby: had to be early 90's? We just looked at each other and said "hey I know you!" He was as out going and as friendly as I remembered him growing up. I will say a prayer for Dave and his family, peace, ~ Eddie Dabal

I grew up on the same street as David and Evan. Evan used to babysit us over the summer. David and i were the same age and teh same grade, and we often waited at the bus stop together. He was the coolest of the cool kids! Ever handsome, tall and had such a magnetic energy. It was a time of strife in our nation (Civil Rights Movement) and Dave was ever kind to me, never a mean word - ever. His smile was infectious and when he came into class, he lit up the entire room. He was always a beloved soul.
I last saw him at our last high school reunion. We drew to him and reached out to touch him and say hello. He was always that radiant.
He shall be truly missed. I still cannot believe he is gone. He was a loving and tender hearted soul that touched so many lives, even in his youth. May he continue live on in his beautiful girls. I know they were the world to him, the gift of his own family.
Sending you peace and abundant love.

Amanda, Brianna and Janine, I am heart broken to hear of the passing of my best friend, your Dad and your husband. Dave and I had grown up together and we had stayed friends throughout the years while life took us in different directions and even though we only connected from time to time, when we spoke, it seamed like only a day had passed since we were on a trip down the shore having fun. I will always remember the good times we shared listening to music, watching sports and trips to the NJ shore.
I am so sorry for your loss and I will miss my friend.

We are saddened to learn of Dave's death. Dave was a good friend at Ohio University; we had many memorable experiences and great times. Lately we were in touch a few times a year, via email, discussing sports which he loved. Our deepest sympathies to the family. You are all in our prayers. Sincerely, Mark & Nancy (Witt) Webb; Salem, Ohio.

Not surprising that my two favorite memories of Dave are centered around music... one at a Bruce concert in NJ and the other at a U2 concert in Denver. Both nights created rich memories which will forever make my heart smile.
Janine, Brianna, and Amanda, I am so sorry for your loss.
May his memory always be a blessing.
