Obituary of Nicola Zipeto

Nicola Zipeto, 88, of Livingston, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2020. Nicola immigrated here with his wife and three children in 1972 from Alberona, Italy and worked many years for the town of East Orange Water Department. When he wasn't working, he could easily be spotted in his garden growing everything from tomatoes to zucchinis. Besides his love for gardening, one of his greatest joys was spending quality time with his loving family. Beloved husband of 65 years to Maria Zipeto. Devoted father of Alessandro Zipeto, his wife Maria, Giuseppe Zipeto, his wife Mona, and Leonarda Gesualdo and her husband Pietro. Cherished grandfather of Nicola Zipeto, his wife Christine, AnnaMaria Dinapoli, her husband Joe, Lucia Loconsole, her husband Nicola, Maria Gesualdo, Gianna Gesualdo, Jacqueline Gesualdo, Nicholas Zipeto, and Cristiano Zipeto. Proud great-grandfather of Camille, Alex, Dean, Angelo, Giovanni, and Josephine. Dear brother of Lucietta Distasio and Saverio Zipeto. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and relatives in Italy. Family and friends are welcome to gather (*Adhering to CDC Guidelines - Social Distancing & Masks Required) on Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 9-11am at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30am (SHARP) at St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover.
