Marty, The memory I have of your Mom was when, I think four of us made cookies for our class at your house. I am not sure who else was there , Tom McCann, Glen Guadanni, Joe Pergentile or maybe Tom Barefoot. I don't remember, but I do remember we were laughing a lot, I don't think any of us had made cookies before and there was a lot of adolescent laughing. Your Mom never said a discouraging word the whole time. We must have been loud and messy. We made a giant cookie for Sr. M. Carlata which I remember she ate in the class. I think we put pepper in it or something like that. It was a memorable time in my life mostly because your Mom let us be ourselves. Happy New Year and best wishes. Our sincere condolences to all of you who knew and loved Ruth. I met her late in her life on my visits to Marty & Jan & I always think of her as gentle, kind and friendly. She lives on in the joy & goodness I see in her children, grandchildren & great-grachildren. May her memory be a blessing. Tina Labellarte
